Sumner School District offers READY! for Kindergarten classes free to parents/primary caregivers who live within the school district boundaries. Classes are for parents, but childcare is provided (pre-registration required). Out-of-district families are charged a $50 fee to cover the cost of materials for each class, plus a one time $20 fee for orientation materials.

 

How can you get involved?

Register for class
Parents and caregivers of children prenatal to five years old may register for classes. Pre-registration required to receive learning tool kit. Classes are held at area elementary schools in fall, winter and spring. For class schedules and registration information, check above.

Volunteer
We can always use volunteers! You can help our program by hosting a class, preparing materials, and even assisting with our free childcare. For more information, contact Laurie Sjolund 253.891.4776 or laurie_sjolund@sumnersd.org

Donate
You can help us reach more families by donating! Do you know of a business, organization or individual who would like to donate funds to support kindergarten readiness for our children? We encourage you to help us maintain and sustain our program while expanding to reach more families. Your donation is tax deductible.

$200 – ensures support for a year of READY! Classes for one child
