TARGETS: The foundation of the READY! program is 26 research-based Age-Level Targets©. These are skills and developmental milestones that a 5-year-old with typical development should have by the time they start kindergarten. Parents and caregivers aim for these targets in supporting a child’s intellectual and social and emotional growth.

TRAINING: Parents and caregivers attend three READY! for Kindergarten E Learning workshops for each of the first five years of their child’s life. The free, 60-minute E Learning workshops promote parent engagement and teach families helpful tips to nurture their child’s development in ways that foster essential early literacy, math, and social and emotional development skills.

TOOLS: With each READY! for Kindergarten E Learning workshop, attendees receive high-quality take-home materials and toys. These resources make learning at home fun and effective using the READY! Play With a Purpose approach. Examples of READY! tools include puzzles, books, magnetic letters, matching games, discovery toys, and much more.

• To sign up, Click the SIGN IN button, Click the second tab, CREATE AN ACCOUNT, Add your information, Add your children (0-5) and their dates of birth, Register for the current available workshop.  You will have access upon approval which can take 24-48 hours.  Directions will be in the follow up email. 

• Your READY! kit is scheduled for pick up after you complete the evaluation form that is submitted at the end of each age level workshop. You choose the date and time that is convenient for you via drop down in a question.  Pick up location is at Canyon View Elementary Pick up/Drop Off Lane: 1229 W 22nd Place, Kennewick, WA 99337

• NEW READY! parents complete an introductory orientation that gives essential information and guidance to the overall program.  Parents only need to take this E Learning orientation once.

• Non-residents of Kennewick incur a fee to participate. Please contact the program for more info!
