RE: READY! for Kindergarten workshops
Dear Cheney School District Families,
As the COVID-19 (coronavirus) continues to spread across the country, we are all taking extra precautions to protect the health of our families and the families we serve. Because of this, our Cheney School District has cancelled all facility use, effective immediately through April 24th. This means that our upcoming Spring READY! for Kindergarten workshops scheduled for March 21st and March 28th are unfortunately canceled as well. At this time, there is not a date for rescheduling Spring workshops.
In the meantime, we encourage you to use your materials from the last workshop you attended to continue to Play With a Purpose for 10 minutes every day.
Additionally, if your child is 30 months old to 5 years, the READY! for Kindergarten App can be a great way to provide extra skill-building time for the school readiness skills. To download the app, go to the Apple Store or Google Play Store on your smartphone or tablet. Search The Children’s Reading Foundation to find the READY! for Kindergarten App.
