Class space is limited. However, you may be placed on a waiting list. If you are on a waiting list, you are welcome to attend the class, but we cannot guarantee that you will receive a toolkit. Please contact Laurie Sjolund at 253.891.4563 to be placed on the waiting list.
Sumner School District offers READY! for Kindergarten classes free to parents/primary caregivers who live within the school district boundaries. Out-of-district families are charged a $45 fee to cover the cost of materials for each class, plus a one time $18 fee for orientation materials.
When registering for classes, please sign up for the recommended age group. Class information and materials are tailored to each specific age group while allowing for individual differences in developmental levels. Classes are organized into age groups based on the year a child is eligible to enter kindergarten.
- Kindergarten class of 2010 - Birthdate between 9/1/04 and 8/31/05
- 5 years old by 8/31/10
- 5 years old by 8/31/10
- Kindergarten class of 2011 - Birthdate between 9/1/05 and 8/31/06
- 5 years old by 8/31/11
- 5 years old by 8/31/11
- Kindergarten class of 2012 - Birthdate between 9/1/06 and 8/31/07
- 5 years old by 8/31/12
- 5 years old by 8/31/12
- Kindergarten class of 2013 - Birthdate between 9/1/07 and 8/31/08
- 5 years old by 8/31/13
- 5 years old by 8/31/13
- Kindergarten class of 2014 - Birthdate between 9/1/08 and 8/31/09
- 5 years old by 8/31/14
- 5 years old by 8/31/14
